Our Story
Open in October 1959 Facenda Whitaker Lanes taking the name from 2 of Philadelphia famous news and sports reporters with 28 lanes. Within a year 22 more lanes where added to bring the total to 50 lanes.
There were no major changes to Facenda Whitaker Lanes until 1985, when Steppy’s Sports Bar and Grill was introduced to the bowlers.
The next major change was in the spring of 1989, when automatic scoring and synthetic lanes we’re installed along with seating, and new flooring. After 10 years, a face lift to Steppy’s and again in 2002. Along with new entrances and new meeting rooms, seminar rooms, and the addition of Game galaxy Game Room to Facenda Whitaker Lanes.
Our Town Alley
In 2020, Facenda Whitaker lanes was rebranded as “Our Town Alley” Fun Entertainment Center. With the addition, of a new game room, laser tag, a club box suite for private parties, and new bowling equipment. 60 years in the East Norriton community, Our town Alley, will be looking to do more upgrades to Steppy’s in the spring to become 2912 Eatery and Bar.
