1959 Facenda Whitaker opens its doors with
twenty-eight lanes, taking the name from two famous Philadelphia News and Sports Reporters, John Facenda and Jack Whitaker. Within a year, the facility added an additional twenty-two lanes, bringing the total number of lanes to fifty.
Steppy’s Sports Bar and Grill opens.
1989 Upgrades include automatic scoring, synthetic
lanes, new seating, and flooring.
New exterior entrances, new meeting room and
the opening of Game Galaxy Arcade.
2020 Facenda Whitaker rebrands as “Our Town Alley”
Fun Entertainment Center, expanding the game galaxy arcade, adding a new state-of-the-art Laser Tag arena, the addition of the Premium VIP Club Box Suite for private parties and new bowling equipment. The rebranding of Steppy’s Sports Bar and Grill to “Steppy’s 2912 Eatery & Bar.
